Antoni Gaudí és un dels protagonistes del segells i monedes del Gremi de Filatèlia i Numismàtica de Catalunya del 2016. Es tracta de la tercera edició d’aquests prototips de monedes i segells commemoratius que cada any recorden esdeveniments crucials de la història de Catalunya.

 

El Gremi de Filatèlia (en col·laboració amb la Conselleria de Cultura de la Generalitat) ha decidit homenatjar l’arquitecte reusenc en el 90 aniversari de la seva mort. A més de Gaudí, l’edició del 2016 conmemora els 25 anys de la mort de Montserrat Roig; els 50 de la mort de l’escriptora Caterina Albert (Víctor Català); els 50 anys de la ‘Caputxinada‘ o el centenari de l’estrena d”Els Pastorets’ de Folch i Torres; entre d’altres.

 

La presentació dels nous segells i monedes, que no tenen validesa legal, es va celebrar al Palau Moja de Barcelona. Hi van participar Jordi Sànchez, president de l’ANC; Alejandro Serrat, president del Gremi de Filatèlia i Numismàtica; i Maria Àngels Torras, directora de Serveis Territorials del Govern català.
